Combine harvester in Singra started cutting and threshing paddy

Combine harvesters have started cutting and threshing paddy in Singra Chalanbil area of Natore. Sajjad Hossain, Upazila Agriculture Officer, inaugurated the cutting and threshing of paddy in Jalabata-Baria area of Chalanbil on Sunday. The machine is capable of cutting three bighas of paddy per hour.

Minhaj Uddin, chairman of Tajpur Union Parishad, Raju Ahmed, president of Singra Model Press Club and many others were present.

The Upazila Agriculture Officer said that combine harvester machines have been provided in 6 unions of Singra Upazila with 50 percent subsidy. This machine will be used for rent. The cost per bigha will be two thousand rupees. Harvesters will play an important role in tackling the labor crisis of the farmers.
