In Azhar Matbar house of Ward No. 8 of East Elisha Union of Bhola Sadar Upazila, widow Julia Akhter was taken out of her living room due to previous enmity and beaten to death and attempted to burn her living room with kerosene.

Neighbors of the same village, Swapan (35) father, Sirajul Haq. Taslim (32) father, Rafizul Haq. Mosharraf (54) father, Hasem Ali. Syed Matbar (52) father, Ishaq Matbar along with 7/8 others unknown.

This incident happened around 12 o’clock yesterday night. Later, the neighbors heard the woman’s screams and came and rescued her and took her to Bhola Sadar Hospital. Julia Akhter is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.

When Swapan asked about this, he said, I don’t know anything about it. I was not in the area (home) last night.

A case is being prepared at Bhola Sadar Model Police Station in this regard.
