Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places and at a few places over parts of the country with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.

“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country”, said a met office forecast valid for the next 24 hours.

The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay.
