Awami League expels Gazipur Mayor Jahangir
The ruling Awami League has expelled its Gazipur unit general secretary and city mayor Jahangir Alam for violating organizational disciplines.
The decisions came at a meeting of the Awami League Central Working Committee on Friday (November 19).
The committee also directed the concerned to take legal actions against the Gazipur mayor.
Earlier on October 3, the party issued a show-cause notice against him for his derogatory remarks on Bangabandhu and martyred freedom fighters.
