Hefazat leader’s threaten to vitiate country

Mawlana Mamunul Haque, vice president of Hefazat-e-Islam (Dhaka metropolitan) has threatened to vitiate the country if the leaders and activists of the party are attacked or any case is filed against them.

He said, “If any more of my brother is killed, if anyone is shot again, and if blood of any of my brother sheds, then the whole of Bangladesh from Teknaf to Tentulia will be vitiated. ”

He was speaking at a protest rally at the north gate of Baitul Mukarram on Sunday (March 28) at noon while the dawn-to-dusk nationwide shutdown underway.

Mamunul Haque said, “Today is the hartal programme of Hefazat, the Awami League has no programme. Even then, why their leaders and activists have taken to the streets with the law enforcement agencies. Police-BGB fired indiscriminately on my peace-loving brothers. Hefazat Naib Amir and a veteran scholar of Madhugarh Maulana Abdul Hamid was shot that composed a scandalous chapter. Bear in mind, Hefazat cannot be suppressed by firing like this.”

Hefazat leader Junaid Al Habib and Mufti Sakhawat Hossain also spoke in the rally.

Earlier, Hefazat leaders and activists brought out a procession from Baitul Mukarram Northgate in support of the hartal. The procession marched around the Paltan and ended at the Northgate again.
