He called for setting up a fund with a donation of Tk 500 along with another 10,000 wealthy people living in Dhaka to prepare food items for 2,500 families with his own funds.

The call came live on Ishraq Hossain’s verified Facebook page on Tuesday (April 26) at noon.

He said 10,000 people of Dhaka donated 500 rupees to set up a relief fund. Whose name is ‘Project Dhaka Aid’.

Calling on at least 10,000 rich people of Dhaka to come together, Ishraq said that out of about 20 million people living in Dhaka city, there are many people who can donate only 500 rupees.

He said, “It is a good deed, that is, we want 10,000 people to come together and form a fund to stand by the helpless 10,000 people of Dhaka.” He announced this initiative on behalf of Sadek Hossain Khoka Foundation.

For this, daily updates will be given through Sadek Hossain Khoka Foundation’s website and Facebook page, said Ishraq Hossain.

At the same time, a Facebook event called Project Dhaka Aid has been launched to implement this program. Fundraising activities for this project will continue till April 12.
