Bangladesh government has issued a strict a week lockdown to decrease the deadly attack of Covid-19 across the country from 6:00 am on Wednesday.

The first day of the lockdown Paltan More, one of the busiest areas in the city, was seen almost empty and quiet. Streets in the area were seen less crowded.

Except for emergency services, all government and private offices were closed during the lockdown.

Buses and private cars were not seen and even rickshaws were not allowed to enter the area.

During visit, shops and restaurants were seen closed.
