Bangladesh is underway 7day lockdown across the country to protect people from the terrible  spread of coronavirus.

Effective lockdown has been enforced from this evening at 6:00pm (April 5). The lockdown order says people cannot leave home, except for some essential reasons.

Already additional law enforcers were deployed in various key points across the country. However, crowds of curious people were seen in several areas.

Besides our Prime Minister has urged everyone’s cooperation to combat the ongoing second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic across the country

On the other hand, the government has issued an 11-point directive including the suspension of public transport services in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Some of the instructions are given below-

A) All types of public gatherings (social / political / religious/ others) should be restricted. All public gatherings are prohibited in areas with high infections. Public gatherings on the occasion of any social event including marriage / birthday should be discouraged.

B) Health guidelines should be ensured in all religious places including mosques.

C) Public gatherings should be restricted at tourist spots / entertainment centers, cinema halls / theaters and all kinds of fairs should be discouraged.

D) Health guidelines must be followed in public transport.

E) Inter-district transport movement should be restricted in high risk areas of infection. It should be stopped if necessary.

F) Passengers arriving from abroad must ensure institutional quarantine for up to 14 days.

G) Arrangements have to be made for sale and purchase of daily necessities following health guidelines.  Pharmacies must ensure proper hygiene.

H) Inter-district transport movement should be restricted in high risk areas of infection. It should be stopped if necessary.

I) strict action will be taken if anyone tries to violate the directions.
