Campaigning is going on ahead of the upcoming by-election of Charpata Union Parishad of Daulatkhan Upazila of Bhola. However, Awami League’s nominated boat chairman Prathi Abdul Hai is campaigning in a single way.

Independent candidate Nazimuddin Hawladar said that the supporters of the boat icon are not allowing me to leave the house. After a while in front of the house, outsiders created panic with Dara motorcycle Sodown and indigenous weapons Dara Mahara. Because of this, no one can go out on the streets because of the fear of my workers and supporters. And when my female activist supporters go out to work, they are beaten, robbed of their mobile phones and severely harassed. I complained to the administration and they assured me that there would be an impartial vote. If there is a neutral vote, I will win by a huge margin.

Meanwhile, Awami League nominated boat candidate Prathi Abdul Hai denied these allegations and said, seeing my public support, individual candidates are making false statements in my name. On the contrary, they are outsiders who are trying to create chaos in Dara area.

Locals expressed their anger in this incident and said that no one dares to open their mouths due to the fear of terrorists.

The ordinary voters of that union complained that every day a group of outsiders in that union marched on the streets in favor of the candidate Abdul Hai with sticks in a fleet of Hondas and shouted provocative slogans. Candidate Nazimuddin Hawladar said that even putting up posters of individual candidates is prohibited.
