Bangladesh Bank has taken a decision to keep bank open on a limited scale amid lockdown from (April 14)

Bangladesh Bank (BB) took the decision after the Cabinet Division issued directives in this regard on Tuesday (April 13).

According to the new decision of BB, banking activities will run from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. However, the other relevant works of banks will continue till 5:00 pm.

Md Sirajul Islam, Executive Director (ED) of Bangladesh Bank, told this.

He said, “A circular will be issued in this regard very soon.”

Earlier on the day, the Cabinet Division issued directives to Bangladesh Bank (BB) to ensure banking service during the lockdown.
