Ramadan Kareem begins Wednesday

The holy month of Ramadan begins on Wednesday (April 14).In this month Muslims engage in self-purification through fasting and abstinence.It begins in the  country on as the new crescent moon was sighted in Bangladesh sky on Tuesday (April 13).

The National Moon Sighting Committee took the decision at a meeting held at the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram office in the evening.

Mentionable, A maximum of 20 devotees including Khatib, Imam, Hafiz, Muazzin and Khadem can attend the Tarabi prayers in mosques across the country amid the holy month of Ramadan.

The religious affairs ministry issued the directive on Monday (April 12) to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
