Strict actions if atrocities aren’t stopped: Home Minister
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said rumors are being spread in the country. If the atrocities are not stopped soon, we will take strict actions.
The Minister said this while talking to reporters at his own office at the Secretariat on Sunday (March 28).
Asaduzzaman said, “We urge those who are involved in the activities to refrain from doing so. Otherwise, we must take actions in accordance with the law. The government will take all necessary measures to ensure that those who have been affected do not suffer further.”
The Minister said, “‘We think that creating this unreasonable situation, destroying government property, causing loss of life and property- not desirable for any of us. We strongly condemn it. I urge all those involved in these harmful acts to refrain.”
He said, “Brahmanbaria Press Club was set on fire in today, leaving a journalist injured. The houses of Zila Parishad chairman, Chhatra League and Awami League have been burnt down. Our security forces are monitoring them with utmost patience.”
