The date for submitting the investigation report in the case filed over rape and assistance in rape against former Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) vice president (VP) Nurul Haque Nur and 5 others has been deferred again to April 7.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nivana Khair Jessi fixed the new date as Kotwali zonal team police inspector (unarmed) Md Wahiduzzaman, also the investigation officer of the case, failed to submit its report on Sunday (March 14).

On September 21 last year, a DU student filed the case with the Kotwali police station against six people including VP Nur.

Other five accused in the case are: Hassan Al Mamun, Nazmul Hassan, Md Saiful Islam, Nazmul Huda and Abdullahel Baqi.

Earlier on September 20, the student filed another case with Lalbagh police station against the same accused in which Hassan Al Mamun was made the prime accused.
