Police have expressed anger over releasing photos of a teenage girl who was raped in Kalabagan. The law enforcement agency requested all remove the pictures immediately.

A press release signed by AIG (Media) Sohail Rana was sent to the media from the police headquarters on Friday (January 08) afternoon.

According to the press release, it is a violation of the law to publish photos of the English medium school student who was killed and suspected rape victim in Kalabagan in the capital. This is an insult to the teenager and her family. But many have published pictures of the student. The image should be removed as soon as possible. It is unknown at this time whether it was rape or not. The matter is under investigation.

A classmate of the English medium school student was brought to Anwar Khan Modern Hospital in Dhanmondi on Thursday (January 06) at noon. The doctor later pronounced her dead. Police arrested one of his friends in the incident.
