Demand for launching family immigration visas in US
Members of the USA Immigrant Visa Pending Case Holders Community From Bangladesh have demanded launching of family immigration visas in the United States.
“USA Immigrant Visa Pending Case Holders Community Form Bangladesh” made the demand from a seminar on the occasion of its founding anniversary held at a hotel in Sylhet on Friday.
The group congratulated Joe Biden, the President-elect of the United States, from the seminar.
Speakers at the seminar administered by group admin Minhaj Uddin said, “US President Donald Trump, who lost the recent election, issued an executive order last April imposing a ban on family immigration visa in the United States. Since the visa process has been closed for about eight months. During this period around 10,000 applicants have not been able to get visas. As a result, the visa cases of several lakh Bangladeshis have come to a standstill, leaving them worried.
The speakers demanded speedy resumption of the family immigration visa process.
