The High Court (HC) has ordered the Dhaka Special Judge Court-7 to send Awami League MP Haji Selim’s corruption case documents.

The High Court will hear the case of Haji Selim’s 13-year sentence on December 7.
Justice Moinul Islam Chowdhury and Justice AKM Zahirul Haque came up with the order following an ACC’s application for the hearing of the case on Wednesday.

Lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan stood for ACC, and Deputy Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman Monir represented the state.
Earlier on November 9, Haji Selim’s case was sent to the High Court for hearing.

On October 24, 2007, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed a case against Haji Selim with Lalbagh Police Station for amassing illegal wealth.  The trial court sentenced him to 13 years in prison on April 27, 2008.

On October 25, 2009, Haji Selim appealed to the High Court against the verdict. On January 2, 2011, the High Court cancelled his sentence.

The ACC later appealed against the High Court verdict.
