The National Youth Day will be observed across the country in a befitting manner on November 1 (Friday).

State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell said this at a press conference at the ministry on Thursday.

The theme of this year is ‘Skilled youths building the country, Bangabandhu’s Bangladesh’.

“There’s no alternative to utilising the youths to build a digital Bangladesh by 2021 and achieve SDGs within 2030 and the goal of a prosperous Bangladesh by 2041,” he said.

The government is determined to create more employment and self-employment opportunities for the youths at home and abroad, he added.

The state minister said the government has taken many projects to make the youth self-reliant.
