Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that there is no specific information about whether former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed is in the country or abroad.

“However, Benazir will face trial if he commits a crime. At the same time, the police force will never take responsibility for Benazir’s personal crimes,” the home boss said while addressing a programme at TSC auditorium of Dhaka University on Saturday (June 1)

He said, “No ban has been issued against him (Benazir) yet. I have heard that he left the country before issuing a ban against him though I don’t know about his departure.”
