US President Joe Biden met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday for the first time since the Israeli’s re-election last year and said they would discuss “hard issues” including upholding “democratic values”.

Biden, meeting Netanyahu on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York amid concerns over the Israeli leader’s far-reaching judicial overhaul, also said he hoped to see Netanyahu in Washington “by the end of the year.”
