Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel have been deployed in 22 districts to maintain law and order situation centering Durga Puja, the greatest religious festivals of the Hindu community in Bangladesh.

BGB troops were deployed in different districts including Cumilla, Narsingdi and Munshiganj from early Thursday.

BGB Director Operation Lt. Col. Foijur Rahman said BGB personnel have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident centring Durga Puja.

Police, RAB and other law enforcing agencies are also working to maintain law and order situation.
