A police constable died after he received a bullet in the head at the Headquarters of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Kurmitola in the capital on Monday (September 13) noon.

He was known as Shuvo Mollo, 26. He was on duty received bullet in his head.

Commander Khandaker Al Moin, chief of RAB’s legal and media wing, confirmed the matter on Monday afternoon.

He said, “Shuvo received bullet injury in his head while he was on duty at the RAB Headquarters.
He was immediately whisked off to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where duty doctors declared him dead around 5:15pm.”

How Shuvo received bullet injury would be known after investigation, he said.
