Tk6,03,681 crore budget for FY2021-22 placed in parliament
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has placed the national budget of Tk 6,03,681 crore for the 2021-22 financial year.
It is the biggest budget in the country’s history. Besides, the budget deficiency is also high in this budget.
This is his third budget, which coincidentally is the 50th fiscal plan of Bangladesh. It is the third consecutive budget for Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal.
“This year’s budget, titled “Bangladesh on a Strong Future with a Priority in Life and Livelihood”, has been placed before the national parliament.
Health sector was given priority in this budget. Of the total budget, Tk 378,357 crore is allocated for expenditure and the rest Tk 225,324 crore for development purposes.
Earlier, the budget session began at 3:03 pm with Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
