Global death toll from coronavirus surpassed 30 lakh

At least 12,500 people have died from Covid-19 infection in last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the virus to 3,012,128.

Besides, the number of people affected by coronavirus (Covid-19) across the globe stands at 140,523,017 with new 830,052 cases reported over the same period.

International survey organisation Worldometer disclosed the information on Thursday (April 17) morning.

The first coronavirus outbreak occurred in Wuhan, China, in December last year. It started spreading in different countries of the world from last February.
