Two minor cousins named Mustafizur Rahman (10) and Siam (12) drowned in a pond on Thursday (April 15) at Bardag area of Bheramara upazila in Kushtia.

Locals said, the duo fell into the pond while playing beside it nearby the house in the morning and drowned.

Later, family members found the children floating in the pond and took them to Bheramara upazila health complex where duty doctors declared them dead.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bheramara Police Station Nasir Uddin confirmed the matter.
