The death toll from Covid-19 has crossed 3 million amid new infections resurgence (reuters) across the world.

Coronavirus infection has been increasing around the world. The death toll is rising by leaps and bound. Brazil and India have seen the highest number of deaths in recent weeks.

Experts blame the new variant of the coronavirus, which was first identified in the United Kingdom (UK) and South Africa. They also blamed people’s negligence in complying with lockdowns and other restrictions.

According to Reuters tally, it has taken more than a year for coronavirus deaths to reach 2 million worldwide. However, other 1 million has been added in just three months.

Over the past few days, a quarter of the daily deaths in Covid-19 worldwide have occurred in Brazil. The World Health Organization (WHO) has also acknowledged that the country is in a state of death from the deadly coronavirus.
