Passenger trains service remain closed during lockdown
The Government has announced a fresh lockdown for one week across the country from Monday (April 5) as Coronavirus cases and death have increased in the country.
During this lockdown all passenger trains except for trains carrying emergency foods and freight trains will remain out of service during the seven-day countrywide lockdown from Monday (April 5) as per the decision of the government.
Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan confirmed the information on Saturday (April 3) afternoon.
“Plying of passenger trains except for trains carrying emergency foods and freight trains will remain suspended during the seven-day countrywide lockdown,” he said.
