A youth was killed 21 other were injured in a road accident in Nabinagar area on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar on Friday (January 15).

The deceased was known as Riazul Islam, 24, son of Mozammel Haque, hailed from Nasopa village of Ghatail upazila in Tangail.

Sources said, the victim was taking tea in a roadside tea-stall in front of a restaurant in the area. Meanwhile, a speedy bus rammed him, leaving him dead on the spot.

Rafiqul Islam, a sub-inspector of Savar Highway police outpost said, on information police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
