Iftekhar Fardin Dihan, 18, the lone accused in a case filed over the rape and murder of an ‘O’ level student in Kalabagan area, gave confessional statements before a Dhaka court.

Judge Mamunur Rashid of Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court recorded the statement on Friday (January 8).

Earlier, Kalabagan police station Inspector (probe) produced before the court as the accused agreed to give the confessional statement willingly.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Swapan Kumar, general recording officer (GRO) of the court confirmed the matter.
