A total of 39 more people died of coronavirus infection in last 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths at 3,861 in the country.

Besides, a total of 2,401 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, the total number of confirmed cases to 2,90,360.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the information in a press release issued on Friday (August 21).

Of the deaths, 27 are males while 12 females. Of them, 23 are from Dhaka division while 5 from Chattogram, 1 from Rajshahi, 3 from Khulna, 2 from Barisal, 4 from Sylhet and 1 from Mymensingh.

A total of 3,624 patients made recovery from Covid-19 in last 24 hours, taking the total number of recovery to 1,72,615 across the country.
