All flights are closed until May 15

All scheduled flights on international and domestic routes during the Covid-19 epidemic will remain closed until May 15. Biman Bangladesh Airlines Managing Director (DG) Mohammad Mokabbir said this on Wednesday (April 29).

The ban on air travel was gradually extended until April 30 to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

Two days ago (April 27) the flight ban was extended to May 7 with a total of 16 countries including Bahrain, Bhutan, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Maldives, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, UK. Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority (BACA).

Now Bangladesh’s passenger flights with all countries except China are closed. Passenger transport is also closed on domestic routes.

However, chartered flights and cargo flights, air ambulances and emergency landings are exempt from the ban.
