The government has decided to keep all factories open across the country even as the health authorities reported new cases and confirmed the second death from coronavirus.

The decision was taken at a tripartite meeting of the government, factory owners and workers in the capital on Saturday.

State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian presided over the meeting.

Bangladesh has so far confirmed 24 coronavirus cases.
