The Commerce Ministry and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) have started drives against sale of mask and hand sanitizer at high prices in the capital.

Drives by mobile courts were operated at different places of Mipur and Uttara in the capital on Wednesday.

ASM Mamun, Public Relations Officr (PRO) of DNCC confirmed the news.

He said mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Julkarnain operated drives at different places of Uttra.  A shop named Moyna Pharmacy was fined Tk 20,000 for charging high price for sanitizer and medicine.

The mobile court also removed 50 shops from footpath at sector 7 and 9 of Uttara.

Another mobile court was operated at Mirpur-13 by Abdul Zabbar. Different shops were fined there.
