Fishing trawler capsize in Bhola13 missing,11 recovered

A Fishing trawler capsized with 24 fishermen in Meghna river of Rajapur area in Bhola sadar upazila at around 1pm today. Coast guard sources said they have recovered 11fishermen including a dead body till now.
The deceased was identified as Khorshed Alam (55) of Nurabad union under Dular Hat Thana in Charfession upazilla of Bhola district .
Locals said, at around noon the trawler was coming from the north direction of Meghna but it fall in danger when it reached at the estuary of Meghna and Tetulia river of Bhola sadar area. Later, the trawler drowned while it was crossing the high wave in this stormy situation of ‘Bul Bul’ within a single moment. Later, Police and coast guard team came to here and recovered 10 missing alive and a dead body of a fisherman from the spot at around 5 pm. they also added .
Information officer Mahbub Alam Second lieutenant of coast guard Branch of Barishal zone told “ we have recovered Eleven missing including a dead body till now and our expedition is continuing .’’
Sarkar Mohammad Kaiser ( S.P) Superintendent Police of Bhola district told this correspondent that the fishing trawler capsized due to rough weather of countrywide continuing storm . Hearing this sad news, I have visited the spot instantly. Tofail Maji one of the recovered person also owner of the trawler told that they were coming from Chandpur after selling their Hilsha fish. At one stage they could not control it in such a bad situation while the wind blow and high wave hit the boat. Recovered Tofail said that some fishermen were swimming when the boat turned over, he added. “We are trying to recover all this missing by coast guard divers he added. After frantic effort, divers have to be abled to trace out the missing boat. Now it has remained under the river at the Mehendeegonj area of Barishal district, SP added.”
