A RAB man was also injured in the gunfight.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased were identified as Nazrul Islam Naju, 40, son of late Mostafa of Tongi area.<\/p>\n<p>RAB claimed that Nazrul was wanted in 12 cases.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant Superintendent of RAB-1 Kamruzzaman Md said acting on a tip off that several drug traders were gathering in the area, a team of RAB conducted a drive there. Sensing presence of law enforcers, the drug traders opened fire forcing the RAB men to back fire that triggered a gunfight.<\/p>\n<p>Nazrul was caught with bullet injury while the others managed to flee from the spot.<\/p>\n<p>Later, Nazrul was taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College and Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.<\/p>\n<p>RAB also recovered 2500 Yaba pills, one pistol, one magazine, one bullet and three shot guns from the spot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A suspected drug peddler has been killed in the reported gunfight with RAB in Gazipur.
