{"id":8784,"date":"2024-02-01T14:47:59","date_gmt":"2024-02-01T14:47:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jonotarsomoy.com\/en\/?p=8784"},"modified":"2024-02-01T14:50:20","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T14:50:20","slug":"fakhrul-denied-bail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jonotarsomoy.com\/en\/2024\/02\/01\/fakhrul-denied-bail\/","title":{"rendered":"Fakhrul denied bail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Dhaka court today (February 1) dismissed the bail petition of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in a case filed over the attack on the residence of the chief justice during the BNP-police clash on October 28, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Farzana Shakila Sumu Chowdhury passed the order after hearing from the prosecution and the defence.<\/p>\n<p>Fakhrul\u2019s lawyer Sayed Joynal Abedin Mesbah confirmed the development.<\/p>\n<p>On October 29, the Detective Branch of police detained Fakhrul from his Gulshan residence.<\/p>\n<p>Later, Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Md Rashidul Alam sent him to jail, rejecting his bail prayer after he was produced before the court in the case.<\/p>\n<div class=\"adv-img text-center d-print-none\">Mentionable, subversive activities were carried out on the residence of Chief Justice on October 28.
