{"id":8726,"date":"2024-01-30T20:58:10","date_gmt":"2024-01-30T20:58:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jonotarsomoy.com\/en\/?p=8726"},"modified":"2024-01-30T20:58:10","modified_gmt":"2024-01-30T20:58:10","slug":"bb-unveils-export-incentives-ahead-of-ldc-graduation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jonotarsomoy.com\/en\/2024\/01\/30\/bb-unveils-export-incentives-ahead-of-ldc-graduation\/","title":{"rendered":"BB unveils export incentives ahead of LDC graduation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bangladesh Bank (BB) has announced incentives<br \/>\nacross all export items for aligning with its impending graduation from the<br \/>\nLeast Developed Country (LDC) status in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Bangladesh Bank (BB) today issued a circular in this regard.<\/p>\n<p>The circular will be effective from 1 January 2024 and will be valid till 30<br \/>\nJune 2024.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the special incentive for the readymade garments sector has been<br \/>\nscaled down from 1 percent to 0.5 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Also, incentives for venturing into new markets have witnessed a 1-percentage<br \/>\npoint reduction to 3 percent. This reduction extends to various sectors<br \/>\nincluding jute and jute goods, leather and leather products, frozen fish,<br \/>\nagro products, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Before the circular came into effect, the highest incentive rate was for agro<br \/>\nproducts, potatoes, and processed meats at 20 percent, which has now been<br \/>\nreduced to 15 percent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bangladesh Bank (BB) has announced incentives across all export items for aligning with its impending graduation from the Least Developed Country (LDC) status in 2026.
