Begum Raushan Ershad, Leader of the Opposition in
\nthe Parliament, has strongly condemned Israel’s continued action targeting
\nthe civilian population of Gaza, killing, and injuring many thousands of
\ninnocent people and children.<\/p>\n
According to a statement issued here today, she said hundreds of thousands
\nwere displaced due to indiscriminate bombing on the civilian population.<\/p>\n
This action by Israel is a clear violation of international law and will
\ndestabilize the region, the statement read.<\/p>\n
She appealed to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to immediately send a medical
\nteam and medicines to Gaza’s southern border with Egypt.<\/p>\n
She also reiterated that the government should open an office with the
\nBangladesh Red Cross to receive humanitarian aid from millions of
\nBangladeshis who are ready to contribute in cash and kind for our Palestine
\nbrothers and sisters.<\/p>\n
Begum Raushan Ershad prayed to Almighty Allah to help the Muslim brothers and
\nsisters of the world unite and take necessary action against the brutality of
\nIsrael against the innocent people of Palestine.<\/p>\n
