Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen today urged
\nthe Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to settle the
\nRohingya persecution case soon as “Justice delayed is justice denied”.<\/p>\n
“We want to see that this case would not be lingered … the sooner it’s over
\nthe better for Rohingyas,” he told reporters as visiting ICC Prosecutor Karim
\nAA Khan called on him this afternoon at the foreign ministry here.<\/p>\n
The foreign minister said he urged the prosecutor to put more efforts or
\nsettlement the Rohingya genocide case with the ICC as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
Momen said the prosecutor sought more information from the Bangladesh
\ngovernment regarding forcibly displaced Rohoingyas. “We will share these
\n(information)… We have no reason not to,” he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, in a press release, the foreign ministry said that the foreign
\nminister appreciated the commendable work of the ICC in ensuring justice and
\naccountability around the world during the meeting.<\/p>\n
Momen assured Bangladesh’s all possible support and cooperation to the Office
\nof the Prosecutor of ICC concerning its investigation into the “Situation in
\nBangladesh\/Myanmar (Rohingya case)”.<\/p>\n
ICC Prosecutor Karim AA Khan is here on a four-day visit from July 4-7 in
\nconnection with the ICC’s Rohingya case, the release added.<\/p>\n
