{"id":7571,"date":"2022-06-30T17:52:35","date_gmt":"2022-06-30T17:52:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jonotarsomoy.com\/en\/?p=7571"},"modified":"2022-06-30T17:52:35","modified_gmt":"2022-06-30T17:52:35","slug":"biden-announces-us-military-reinforcements-across-europe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jonotarsomoy.com\/en\/2022\/06\/30\/biden-announces-us-military-reinforcements-across-europe\/","title":{"rendered":"Biden announces US military reinforcements across Europe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Joe Biden has announced the deployment of United States military reinforcements across Europe in an effort to counter Russia amid its invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Madrid on Wednesday for the opening of the 30-nation alliance\u2019s annual leaders summit, Biden said \u201cthe Untied States will enhance our force posture in Europe and respond to the changing security environment as well as strengthening our collective security\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The president said the US is establishing a permanent army headquarters in Poland, sending two additional F-35 fighter jet squadrons to the United Kingdom, and adding \u201cmore defence and other capabilities\u201d in Germany and Italy.<\/p>\n<p>Biden also said he is adding a \u201crotational brigade\u201d in Romania, consisting of 5,000 troops, and enhancing rotational deployments in Baltic countries.<\/p>\n<p>A day earlier, he had announced that the US is boosting its fleet of naval destroyers from four to six in Rota, Spain.<\/p>\n<div class=\"adv-img text-center d-print-none\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-2189815-8\" class=\"text-center\" data-google-query-id=\"CO_kx7Te1fgCFfaP2AUdHmwA4Q\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/401241791\/risingbd-details-inner-b_0__container__\">\n<div id=\"AA_DPS_BD_risingbd.com_res_article_mid3\">\n<div id=\"ats-insert_ads-7-wrapper\" class=\"insert_ads insert_ads-6 unrendered\">\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Biden said on Wednesday the step up in military backing for US allies comes at a time when Russian President Vladimir Putin has \u201cshattered peace in Europe and attacked the very tenants of rule-based order\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re stepping up, proving that NATO is more needed now than it ever has been and it\u2019s important as it ever has been.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The US currently has more than 100,000 service members deployed across Europe, up by about 20,000 since before Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine began four months ago. <em>_Agencies<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Joe Biden has announced the deployment of United States military reinforcements across Europe in an effort to counter Russia amid its invasion of Ukraine.
