When developed countries are struggling against the coronavirus infection, Bangladesh has been able to control the outbreak successfully. The country registered only two deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest number of deaths in the last 18 months.<\/p>\n
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the first death of coronavirus in the country on March 18 last year.<\/p>\n
The lowest death was reported on May 5 of last year. Since then, death has been on the rise. Sometimes a little down, but never so down that registered on November 1.<\/p>\n
According to DGHS press release on November, the two deaths were women who are from Dhaka district, meaning all other 63 districts recorded no deaths on November 1.<\/p>\n
Of the deceased, one aged between 51 to 60 years while another 31 to 40 years. They both died while undergoing treatment in government hospitals.<\/p>\n
Some 214 new cases were reported during the same period. With this, the total number of infections stood at 15,69,753 in the country.<\/p>\n
Alongside, as many as 202 Covid-19 patients made recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 15,33,625.<\/p>\n
Considering the sample test in a day, the coronavirus detection rate was 1.08 percent. So far, the average rate of detection was 15.14 percent. The recovery rate is 97.70 percent. The death rate was 1.78 percent.<\/p>\n
During the period, 19,734 samples have been tested across the country, climbing the total test to 1,03,69,604.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
