For the first time in New York, USA, foreigners will see the pictures of Bangladesh’s architect Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on a billboard.<\/p>\n
An initiative has been taken to display some rare pictures of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of his death anniversary Sunday (August 15).<\/p>\n
On that day, Bangabandhu’s pictures will be displayed for 15 seconds every 2 minutes in 24 hours from 12:01 am to 11:59 pm the next day. Its total duration will be 3 hours and will be displayed a total of 720 times. The exhibition is sponsored by NY Dreams Productions of New York.<\/p>\n
Fahim Firoz, head of NY Dreams Productions, spoke about the initiative at the Meet the Press event.<\/p>\n
Fahim Firoz said the initiative to display Bangabandhu’s pictures on a billboard in the historic Times Square was completely private and had no political affiliation.<\/p>\n
He said, “We are moving ahead with the initial initiative and in order to make this initiative a success and to make it better, we are also considering whether some of his words can be broadcast in Bengali \/ English or speeches in addition to Bangabandhu’s picture.”<\/p>\n
He sought the overall cooperation of all quarters at government and private levels to make his initiative a success.<\/p>\n
