{"id":3879,"date":"2020-03-08T08:52:09","date_gmt":"2020-03-08T08:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.jonotarsomoy.com\/?p=3879"},"modified":"2020-03-08T08:52:09","modified_gmt":"2020-03-08T08:52:09","slug":"high-court-cancels-gk-shamims-bail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jonotarsomoy.com\/en\/2020\/03\/08\/high-court-cancels-gk-shamims-bail\/","title":{"rendered":"High Court cancels GK Shamim\u2019s bail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The High Court has cancelled the bail given to expelled Jubo League leader Golam Kibria Shamim alias GK Shamim in an arms case.<\/p>\n<p>The HC bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice SM Mozibur Rahman cancelled the bail on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on February 6, the HC bench granted bail to him for six months but the state knew nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Attorney General of the concern court F R Khan told\u00a0 that he knows nothing about bail of G K Shamim.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cI will see the matter. If he secures bail the state will appeal against it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>GK Shamim, who was known as an influential contractor of Sabujbagh, Basabo and Motijheel areas of the capital, was arrested on September 20 last year.<\/p>\n<p>Rapid Action Battalion members seized illegal firearms and Fixed Deposit Receipts worth Tk165 crore, Tk 1.8 crore in cash and foreign currencies from his house and office at Niketan.<\/p>\n<p>The elite force filed three cases \u2013 one under narcotics control, one under money-laundering prevention and other under arms acts \u2013 against Shamim with Gulshan Police Station on September 21.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The High Court has cancelled the bail given to expelled Jubo League leader Golam Kibria Shamim alias GK Shamim in an arms case.
