Iranian state TV reported this, news agency Reuters reported.<\/p>\n<p>More than a dozen missiles have been fired from Al-Assad US airport in western Iraq&#8217;s Al-Anbar province from Tuesday afternoon and later in Iraq&#8217;s Kurdish-dominated Iraqi airspace in central Iraq.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian state TV says Iran has launched a missile attack on al-Assad in Iraq in retaliation for the assassination of Iranian General Qasim Soleimani in a US attack in Baghdad.<\/p>\n<p>According to Iraqi military data, a total of 22 missiles attacked US airstrikes. Two of these missiles were ineffective, while the rest were targeted.<\/p>\n<p>The United States acknowledged the attack but did not report any casualties.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian general Qasem Soleimani was killed in a US drone attack in Baghdad, Iraq, early Friday.
