{"id":2769,"date":"2019-12-28T10:34:48","date_gmt":"2019-12-28T10:34:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.jonotarsomoy.com\/?p=2769"},"modified":"2019-12-28T10:34:48","modified_gmt":"2019-12-28T10:34:48","slug":"hsias-3rd-terminal-project-work-inaugurated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jonotarsomoy.com\/en\/2019\/12\/28\/hsias-3rd-terminal-project-work-inaugurated\/","title":{"rendered":"HSIA\u2019s 3rd terminal project work inaugurated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday inaugurated the much-awaited construction work of Taka 21,300 crore \u2018Third Terminal\u2019 of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in the capital aimed at increasing carrying passenger and cargo capacity manifolds.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister opened the construction work of the third terminal of HSIA by laying its foundation stone this morning.<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Hasina also opened Bangladesh Biman\u2019s two new Dreamliner aircrafts Boeing 787-9 named \u2018Sonar Tori\u2019 and \u2018Achin Pakhi\u2019 as well as a new mobile app of the national flag carrier on the sidelines of the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter the construction of the third terminal, the HSIA will be the most modern airport in the region\u2026 12 million additional passengers will be benefited annually after building this terminal,\u201d State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali told a press briefing on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The third terminal will be built at a cost of Taka 21,300 crore of which the government will provide Taka 5,000 crore and the rest to be funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).<\/p>\n<p>Mitsubishi and Fujita of Japan and Samsung of Korea were awarded to<br \/>\nconstruct the third terminal under a consortium, Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) official sources said.<\/p>\n<p>Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Md Mohibul Haque and Chairman of CAAB Air Vice Marshal M Mofidur Rahman also spoke at the press briefing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday inaugurated the much-awaited construction work of Taka 21,300 crore \u2018Third Terminal\u2019 of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in the capital aimed at increasing carrying passenger and cargo capacity manifolds.
